Kanopy is an Australian based distributor of educational videos. Major subjects covered include: The arts, business and training, health sciences, media and communication, natural sciences, social sciences, and teacher education.
- A) Choose "Share": Below the video, click the 'Share' button to get started.
- B) Click Embed: Click on this option to gain access to the code needed to embed the video in your course.
- C) Copy the Embed Code: Use your keyboard shortcut or right click and 'copy' the full <iframe> code.
Log in to Blackboard and enter your course at https://bb.courses.maine.edu/
You can embed the film into any content area or learning module page in your course.
- A) Create Item: Blackboard "items" are your best choice for embedding films
If you do not see the "HTML" code button, you may need to expand your toolbars as shown in the image
- B) Open HTML Code View: The embed code is in HTML format. This button will allow us to insert the code.
- C) Paste the Embed Code: Paste the code we copied earlier.
- D) Update: This will apply the changes. NOTE: You will not see the embedded video until you submit the Blackboard Item.
