Maine Women's Hall of Fame Collection

The Katz Library is home to the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame gallery of portraits. A collaboration of the BPW/Maine Futurama Foundation and the University of Maine at Augusta, “the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame is dedicated to women whose achievements have had a significant statewide impact, have significantly improved the lives of women, and whose contributions provided enduring value for women. The annual Induction Ceremony, held on the third Saturday of March each year, is an outstanding public event where one or two women of achievement are honored.”

The Maine Women’s Hall of Fame Collection is comprised of video recordings, photographs, and other materials created during the annual MWHOF induction ceremonies.

The Hall of Fame gallery of portraits is on permanent public view in the Katz Library together with information about each inductee. For more information about the Hall and its honorees, visit the MWHOF page at UMA.

The MWHOF Collection’s unprocessed materials are preserved and maintained by the Katz Library staff and are currently not on view. For information about access and use of these materials, please contact the Katz Library.
