Meet UMA's Learning Experience Designers

Tina Daigle

Tina Daigle, EdD

Tina joined UMA in May 2020 as a Learning Experience Designer (LXD), collaborating with campus teams and faculty to create engaging learning experiences based on adult learning theories and instructional best practices. With over 20 years of college-level teaching experience, including extensive training in online instruction, Tina brings a unique perspective to her role. She is also an instructor for the Education Department. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and skiing, attending concerts, cooking, and watching football with her family.

Jessica

Jessica Ludders, MA, M. Ed.

Jessica, a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) at UMA, collaborates with faculty and staff to craft engaging activities and content for students. With a background in secondary and post-secondary teaching since 2000, she transitioned to online instruction in 2005. Her MA in English and M.Ed. in instructional technology and school leadership provide a solid foundation for her work. Jessica also serves as an adjunct instructor at UMA and in the College of Education's M.Ed. program. Outside of work, she and her family maintain a simple homestead, growing much of their food and sharing their bounty with others. Keep an eye out for fresh veggies in the summer!

Veronica

Veronica Nargi, MLIS

Veronica works as a Learning Experience Design Librarian based out of Katz Library on the Augusta Campus. She has several years of experience teaching in online learning environments, and has previously taught ESL in South Korea. When developing learning content, she always aims to focus on constructing inclusive and creative spaces where learners feel comfortable to express themselves and feel empowered to work either individually or collaboratively.

Sunny

Meet Sunny

Sunny is representative of a learner at UMA. The LXD's always consider Sunny when designing courses and working with faculty. You should think about Sunny as well! Sunny's experiences at UMA go beyond coursework. We must all consider the experience Sunny has at UMA, including admissions, advising, financial aid, library services, Student Tech Hub, and student life. Sunny is often present in LXD presentations, tutorials, and support materials as a reminder to always consider the learner's experience.
