Help! I've recorded a video but now it won't upload! What do I do??
First, take a deep breathe and know that it is likely that you will solve this problem. Here are a few things to try:
Step One: Update Kaltura
If you downloaded your Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder before August 2017, you will need to update your software. If you encounter errors when uploading your videos, it is likely because you do not have the latest version. Here's how to update:
- If Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder is open on your computer, close it first.
- Log into Blackboard.
- Go to My Media.
- Click the Add New button.
- Select CaptureSpace.
- Click the Download button for your system. (Note: This screen does not appear in Firefox, so use another browser.)
- Open the file after it downloads and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step Two: Look in the Library
If your video did not upload successfully, it is still saved on your computer and you can find it in the CaptureSpace Library. Open CaptureSpace and click on the Library tab. You will see a list of your videos. Find the video you want to upload and click the orange link to "Upload now".
