Academic Technology Mini-Webinars
Every Tuesday at noon, we will host a mini-webinar in Zoom to explore a different academic technology and how it can be used by students and faculty to save time and improve learning. These sessions are free and open to any student, staff, and faculty in the University of Maine System.

About Our Session Formats
Lunch & Learn: this type of session is primarily focused on improving teaching and learning through a discussion format where faculty share their experiences and the session leaders facilitate the discussion and provide resources. These sessions are held on the Augusta & Bangor campuses, with remote participants connecting through Zoom.
Workshop: this type of session is designed to be hands-on, where faculty can come to learn about and try a tool, resource, or strategy. Leaders present how they use the tool, resource, or strategy, and provide instruction and space for practice. These sessions are held on the Augusta & Bangor campuses with remote participants connecting through Zoom.
Webinar: this type of session can cover a range of topics, but the main difference is that all participants join remotely online through Zoom. In a Faculty Show & Tell, a faculty member will highlight a tool or strategy that they use and walk the participants through their course or materials with details and lessons learned. In a technology webinar, time is spent in presentation mode, demonstrating a tool, with additional time spent in breakout sessions where participants can receive individualized assistance while they complete a task.
