Transition: Video Conferencing Class into Zoom

In May 2020 Video Conferencing (VC) classes will change underlying technology. VC classes will no longer turn on automatically in the classroom. IMPORTANT: the instructor, as well as students at various locations, will have to manually join the meeting before each class. 

 

Two weeks before the semester starts or at least two weeks before the first class session that will use this self serve model:

 

STEP 1: Configure your Zoom account to place all recordings into your Kaltura Media Gallery.

STEP 2: Create a Course Zoom Meeting in Blackboard. Each course should have a different Zoom meeting.

STEP 3:  Submit your Course Meeting ID to UMA Academic Logistics through this form

STEP 4: Share your Course Meeting ID with all your students (sample letter for your convenience

 

 

On each class session (Teaching from the Polycom equipped classroom):

 

STEP 1: On the Polycom unit login to your designated Zoom meeting.
